For over two decades, Young Drummer of the Year has been a launchpad for the next generation of drumming talent.
Founded in 2002 by Mike Dolbear, the competition was created to give drummers aged 16 and under a stage to showcase their skills at both national and international level. What started as a small contest quickly grew into a highly respected event, attracting top young players and shaping the early careers of many drummers.
This year’s final will be the 6th year that this now global event will be hosted in our Theatre.
Come and see the top 10, 16 and under Young drummers from around the UK and Ireland in front of drumming celebrity judges.
