Lighthouse & Arts University Bournemouth Queer Cinema Society announce the Short Film Open Call for Poole Pride 2024.
We’re looking for LGBTQ+ filmmakers to showcase their work during our first ever Pride takeover at our Cinema this June. Whether you’re an established filmmaker or dreaming of becoming the next big thing in the industry, we’re taking submissions from anyone who identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community in Dorset who wants to make a film based on the stimulus word: PRIDE.
Some of the most astounding pieces of cinema have been created on the smallest budgets, so we’re looking for innovative entries to showcase the ingenuity of proud local creatives. We can accept films as MP4s, via WeTransfer and Google/Dropbox links or other accessible formats. The film running time should not exceed 8 mins, and the submission deadline is Friday 10 May 2024.
Successful applicants selected for our shortlist will have their work screened in our cinema as part of an anthology on the evening of Friday 7 June.
