Bright Sparks – Developing the next generation of Arts Practitioners
Lighthouse is dedicated to securing the future of the arts in this region and we need your help to achieve this. As well as bringing outstanding performances to Poole, your support will enable us to go further, enabling and inspiring the talented people of this region to develop professionally in a wide range of roles across the arts sector.
You can support our Bright Sparks projects and make a difference to people's lives.
In the past 3 years, we have worked with over 80 young people on Lighthouse-led learning initiatives, and with your backing, we can continue to nurture the bright sparks of the future.
- Projects like our Young Technicians programme give hands-on experience of all areas associated with lighting, sound and AV for theatre, concerts, cinema & live events.
- Over the last four years, our Internship scheme has given 9 local graduates their first full-time paid roles in a career in arts administration.
- Through our writing project, DO:Wright, we will employ a writer-in-residence and also give teenagers from our partner schools the opportunity to spend a year learning from professional writers.
We firmly believe that developing young talent is not just about giving opportunities to artists, but also to the huge range of people that work hard behind the scenes to create the art. Bright Sparks will give career opportunities to countless young people across a range of job roles and will ensure that the arts in Dorset will continue to flourish.
We simply could not continue to manage these projects without the generous gifts that we receive from people like you. Please consider adding a donation to the price of your ticket.
Thank you for your support.
