Lighthouse Poole is delighted to welcome Emma Bovey to its Senior Management Team as Head of Development and Partnerships.
Emma brings extensive experience of the arts, cultural development and fundraising, most recently as Head of Development at Southampton Forward, where she raised significant investment to support community-led programmes and culture-led regeneration across Southampton.
Prior to this, Emma built a successful career in fundraising, events and partnership development across the commercial sector and with a leading disability charity. Earlier in her career, she held the post of Commercial and Events Manager at Lighthouse, making her return particularly special for both Lighthouse and Emma.
In her new role, Emma will lead on fundraising strategy and the development of key business partnerships to support Lighthouse’s artistic and community engagement programmes, as well as capital projects that will help secure the organisation’s long-term sustainability.
Emma will take up her position on Monday 8 June, and the team is delighted to welcome her back to Lighthouse in this new chapter of her career.
“I am proud to be returning to Lighthouse,” says Emma. “Having worked here earlier in my career, it feels wonderful to be coming back in this new role.
“Lighthouse is an extraordinary organisation with a vital role at the heart of our community, and I am excited to work with colleagues, supporters and partners to help secure the investment needed to sustain and grow its impact for years to come.”
Lighthouse Chief Executive, Elspeth McBain adds: “We are delighted to welcome Emma to the team. Her extensive experience in fundraising, strategic partnerships and income generation, combined with her strong knowledge of the regional arts and cultural sector, will be invaluable as we continue to grow our impact and ambitions.
“Emma will play a vital role in securing the support and investment needed to deliver our Get Creative programme, expand the reach of our Lighthouse Academy work with young people, and strengthen our engagement with businesses, trusts and individual supporters. She will also help drive fundraising for essential improvements to our building, ensuring that we can continue to provide inspiring, accessible and welcoming spaces for our communities.”
