Welcome to Lighthouse – we have missed you!
To start with, our re-opening will be gradual with a small programme in the theatre and the Cinema. Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra has resumed rehearsals in the Concert Hall ready for a season of online concerts. The Beacon café is opening too along with some behind-closed-doors rehearsals, courses and classes.
Emergency funding from Arts Council England and donations from many of you has provided a vital lifeline to support us to open our doors again, but with full capacity audiences unable to return we still need your support to help get through the current situation.
For now, Lighthouse is looking at what we can do with limited funding and social distancing and have done all we can to make it happen. We still need all the support we can get to ‘Bridge the Gap’ to a time when we can open without social distancing.
We’ve been planning extensively for our reopening and have been working hard to implement wide-reaching new safety measures across all venues. Whilst your visit may feel a little different we’re focusing on key areas to ensure you, your family and friends, along with our teams, can enjoy your visit as safely as possible.
To recognise the measures we have put in place to make Lighthouse safe and welcoming we are proud to hold the ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry standard mark. Here is what to expect:
Booking online is encouraged, making your visit to Lighthouse as contactless as possible.
We would encourage all customers to book in advance to help maintain the correct social distancing measures. Capacity is signifcantly reduced with tickets likely to sell out in advance.
FOOD AND DRINK
Please wait to be seated and complete the Track and Trace information to be placed in the box provided. These details will be retained for 21 days. Full table service will be provided and we have spaced out seats and tables to ensure social distancing can be maintained.
Our already high cleaning standards will be enhanced by a new cleaning protocol covering all areas of the building. Our cleaning team will be constantly disinfecting all areas of the building throughout the day and evening to help keep you safe. All our venue seating, foyers and carpets will undergo a weekly ‘fogging’ treatment to quickly and effectively disinfect surfaces and surroundings, providing protection for up to 30 days.
Please protect yourself and those around you, thank you for wearing a face covering.
A little space goes a long way. Please stay safe and keep your distance.
Clean hands are safer hands. Please wash your hands and use our santisers
