The Theatre at Lighthouse has played host to some of the most famous UK actors, including Sir Ian McKellen in Twelfth Night in our opening year.
With a capacity of 669 seats, its proscenium arch and stage are renowned for great drama from UK and international companies, contemporary dance and ballet, opera as well as the annual pantomime. It is also suited for conferences and film screenings.
Its sweeping auditoria provides great sightlines from all seats, and the staging facilities allow for full theatrical production including a full counterweight fly system. The Theatre has a small orchestra pit (28 players).
During the summer months, the Theatre is available to hire for public performances and events.
