Community Play Coordinator

Back

Lighthouse is working closely with associate company Angel Exit Theatre Company to create a large- scale community play (PCP) IN July 2023 as part of the Poole High Street Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ) programme in partnership with Historic England (HE). The play will celebrate Poole and bring new activities and audiences into its historic heart and to commemorate the links with its maritime and international trade connections, including Newfoundland.

A professional cast and creative team will be supported by a large community company of actors and singers, with promenade style performances taking place at Lighthouse Poole and at outdoor pop- up performances on Poole High street, in The Old Town and around The Quay.

We are seeking an experienced freelance event coordinator, with experience in or knowledge of delivering community events to undertake the detailed planning, administration and delivery of the rehearsal and production schedule and community participation programme. You will be the main point of contact between the community participants, the creative team led by Angel Exit and the producer, Lighthouse.
