Experience the unique sound and timeless songs of former Lighthouse Family lead singer/songwriter, Tunde, as he opens a new chapter in his music career by celebrating an exciting new songbook, as well as the 30th anniversary of the debut Lighthouse Family album, Ocean Drive.
Lighthouse Family released their debut album, Ocean Drive,in 1995 with the lead single, Lifted, reaching the top five. Their follow-up album, Postcards From Heaven, achieved similar sales in 1997. In total, Lighthouse Family sold more than 15 million albums globally and established a catalogue of enduringly popular songs such as Goodbye Heartbreak, High, Lifted, Ocean Drive, Loving Every Minute, Question Of Faith and Raincloud.
In 2004, singer Tunde Baiyewu embarked on a solo career, before a one-off reunion album and tourwith Lighthouse Family in 2019. The new album, Blue Sky In Your Head, was the group’s first record in 18 years and was supported with two sell-out UK tours. Since 2020, Tunde has been working on a new collection of recordings, inspired by the artists and the singer/songwriter era of the 1970s. Some of these songs are included in his live set.
Three new original songs are set to be released through 2025 and into 2026. The first of these, Rain To A Rainbow, was released in July. A timeless classic co-written by Tunde with Jonathan Quarmby, this track has been on heavy rotation at BBC Radio 2 and regional BBC stations.
