Playful, beautiful and highly skilled, Natalie Inside Out is a unique collaboration between world-class hand-balancer Natalie Reckert and digital artist Mark Morreau.
Using technology and video projections to turn our conventional ideas of circus upside down and inside out. Literally.
Fusing circus and interactive technologies, Natalie and Mark playfully investigate the relationship between the actual and the digitally represented body. Through a blend of live acrobatic performance, extreme close up slow-motion video, and spoken word, they take movement on stage and transform it into projected landscapes on screen, humorously and poetically examining the ways in which digital media can interpret and represent the human body, whilst revealing its underlying mechanics, emotions and motivations.
