The Dorset Federation of Women’s Institutes Annual Meeting is back with speakers Jan McNeill and Katie Glass.
Morning speaker, Jan McNeill was an entertainer and cruise director. She spent 37 years as a professional entertainer, retired for 10 years and is now back performing. She has travelled the world, working with such stars as Sir Cliff Richard, Lional Ritchie, Cannon & Ball and Jane McDonald. Jan will give us a fun talk so do come along and join us for a very entertaining time.
Afternoon speaker, Katie Glass, is journalist, and feature writer. Her new column for Telegraph’s Stella Magazine covers her journey from pre-wedded bliss in London to moving alone to Land’s End to re-start her life during lockdown.
An award-winning travel journalist, her journey on the Trans-Mongolian railway was a viral Twitter sensation. Her work regularly appears in UK publications including the Telegraph, The Sunday Times, The Evening Standard, The Sun, Conde Nast Traveller, The Spectator, Grazia and Elle Magazine.
Internationally, Katie’s work has featured in The Australian and Vanity Fair. Katie was awarded the Young Stationer’s Prize and has twice been shortlisted as Best Feature Writer at The British Press Awards.
