Lighthouse is delighted to welcome Bluebird Care as the newest member of its thriving Business Club.
“With its focus on meeting the needs of the community, Bluebird Care is a very welcome addition to Lighthouse Business Club,” says Lucy Funnell, Corporate Development & Events Manager.
“Our shared values around accessibility and making sure people can continue to access and enjoy experiences such as visiting the theatre make Bluebird Care a natural fit for this new partnership.”
Betty Parra, Operations & Registered Manager at Bluebird Care adds: “We believe that good care is about much more than meeting someone’s care needs. It’s about being able to keep doing the things you enjoy, seeing the people you care about and feeling part of your community.
“Our partnership with Lighthouse is a wonderful opportunity to support people to remain active and independent, while making sure everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the culture, entertainment, and experiences that our local community has to offer. We’re excited to work together and help make that possible.”
Bluebird Care provides professional care and support to people in their own homes, helping them stay independent rather than moving into a care home.
Their services include:
- Home/domiciliary care – help with washing, dressing, meals, medication, and household tasks.
- Respite and night care – providing families with additional support or a well-earned break.
- Companionship and trips out – companionship and wheelchair-accessible transport for days out, appointments, and more.
- Live-in care – 24/7 support from a Care Expert living in the person’s home.
- Complex care – specialist support for conditions such as diabetes, dementia, Parkinson’s, MS, strokes, and physical disabilities.
As an independent charity, building relationships with local businesses is vital to the long-term sustainability of Lighthouse and support from local businesses is helping fund artist development and community outreach projects, as well as training the next generation of creative industry professionals at Lighthouse.
Lucy adds: “As well as maintaining our world-class venue, with the help of the business community, we can do so much more, from continuing to grow our partner schools programme and taking outreach projects into our communities, to extending our range of access projects, and supporting upcoming artists to develop their work.”
Lighthouse Business Club membership is available in a range of benefit packages.
