Gabrieli presents a spectacular performance of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, featuring over 350 young voices.
This unique production brings together a massed chorus of primary and secondary school students from Dorset to perform the opera’s powerful choruses. Interwoven throughout are folk songs and sea shanties, thematically linked to the story, creating a fresh and inspiring retelling of Purcell’s masterpiece.
