Having met at Lighthouse since their foundation 45 years ago, Poole Leisure Painters is one of our longest-running community groups and hosts its latest exhibition, Sapphire, in the Mezzanine Gallery from Wednesday 9 until Saturday 26 September.
Founded in 1981, the group has continued to thrive thanks to the welcoming facilities and ongoing support of Lighthouse.
Members describe the group as friendly, welcoming and supportive, with artists of all abilities encouraged to develop their skills, share ideas and enjoy painting together. Many have formed lasting friendships while gaining the confidence to exhibit their work. The group welcomes everyone, from experienced artists to complete beginners, creating a relaxed and inspiring environment where creativity can flourish.
Regular exhibitions also give members the opportunity to showcase their artwork.
