Salvador Sánchez is a pianist and composer (Elche, Spain, 2000), performing Goyescas by Enrique Granados (solo piano).
His artistic activity unfolds along three main lines: as a classical pianist, he performs works from the traditional repertoire with a strong narrative sense and refined stylistic awareness; as a composer of classical music and film scores, he develops a distinctive personal language with particular attention to colour and writing for instrumental ensembles; and as a contemporary creator, he composes and performs his own experimental music, combining electronics, synthesizers, and non-conventional structures.
Salvador began his musical training at the Professional Conservatory of Elche (Spain). At the age of 16, he was admitted to St. Mary’s Music School in Edinburgh.
He completed his studies at the Royal College of Music in London where he graduated in both Piano and Composition with high distinction. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the same institution, graduating with honours.
With a strong international profile, he has given concerts in cities across the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Italy, Malta, and India, with upcoming performances in Portugal and Argentina.
Among other distinctions, he has been awarded the prizes for “Best Interpretation of Spanish Music” and “Best Spanish Performer” at the Vigo International Piano Competition (2022), as well as First Prize in the “Edinburgh Festival City Concert Class” for his performance of Ravel’s Piano Concerto at the Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh.
His orchestral and chamber music compositions have been premiered in London, Edinburgh, and Budapest. He has also composed the soundtracks for two short films and is currently working on the music for another short film as well as a feature- length animated film.
In February 2025, he premiered his experimental music album Años de rechazo in a concert venue in London. With a broad artistic curiosity, he is also a contributor to the music magazine Tigre Sounds (Miami), and more than 24,000 followers on Instagram, follow his Goyescas tour and the concerts promoting his new experimental album “Años de rechazo.”
