Free to enjoy, discover the artwork of Adilson Naueji, winner of our 2024 Open Call exhibition. Through vibrant mixed-media portraits, Adi captures the spirit of Boscombe’s diverse community - a heartfelt tribute to place, identity, and everyday beauty.
The portraits in the exhibition celebrate urban life and those singular individuals who stand every day for the good of the marginalized community of Boscombe, where Adi has lived with his family since coming to the UK seven years ago from Angola where he grew up.
Discover how Boscombe became an eclectic, bohemian, creative place with lots of energy from all the different cultures and communities that meet there.
The striking and perceptive portrait that won the Open Call was called Maureen after its subject and Adi is still in touch with her.
This exhibition pays tribute to mixed communities that make life richer, wherever they are.
