Carl Orff’s enduringly popular choral classic is presented by Bournemouth Symphony Chorus, Youth Chorus and BSO Resonate. With thrilling, rhythmic music and funny, and at times bawdy, text drawn from medieval poems Carmina Burana has been used by countless films and TV adverts.

Conducted by Gavin Carr with a line-up of young star soloists this will brighten up a winter’s afternoon, as New York Times musicologist Richard Taruskin described the work ‘almost the definition of a guilty pleasure’.
