'A Night of Blues 'n' Boogie' - 3 great acts!

After three successful and hugely enjoyable shows, we are delighted to present the fourth instalment of ‘A Night of Blues & Boogie’.  This show sees the debut of piano player Dan Burnett, guitarist Marcus Praesgaard-Stevens in duo with vocalist extraordinaire Alice Armstrong; and as always, the night will be hosted by the ever popular Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion showcasing their vibrant Hammond organ driven electric blues.

Dan Burnett - Singer, Songcrafter and Piano Tamer!

Dan Burnett is a triple threat: an award-nominated piano player, an immensely soulful and talented singer, and a well-respected songwriter with influences stemming from the soul, acoustic and blues genres. Dan’s original songs will take you on emotional journeys about life, love, and heartbreak.

‘Impeccable … a masterclass performance” – Alan Bates, Blues in Britain

Marcus Praestgaard-Stevens-guitar and Alice Armstrong-vocals

The Acoustic Blues slot is filled by two of the most exciting young guns on the British Blues Scene and indeed the creative music scene at large.  Their stunning duo set brings together two unique musical entities: Alice with her soulful, immaculately phrased vocal and charismatic personality, and Marcus (who first appeared on the scene aged 12) with his elegant tone, accomplished technique and astounding maturity for someone so young.

‘From deep and soulful to spine-tingling: add to that her sassy wit and Alice is the full package’ - Blues in Britain Magazine, 2020

Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion refresh the blues genre with eclectic arrangements, virtuosic playing and vocal prowess.  With a vibrant, exciting live set based around rootsy original songs, strong catchy riffs and exciting grooves; they mix old school tradition with contemporary flare and sophistication.

Zoe’s dynamic and commanding vocal delivery, her majestic vocal sweep and interpretive ability, is complimented by the unmistakable and inimitable touch and flow of Rob Koral-guitar; and the highly accomplished rhythm section of Pete Whittaker-Hammond organ and Eddie John drums who bring massive musical authority and the ability to push the music in unpredictable and exciting directions.

“This is a band of exceptional quality, fronted by the stellar vocals of Zoe Schwarz; you really shouldn't miss the opportunity to enjoy them” - Live Review, Brian Harrington, Arlington Arts, Newbury Times, Apr 2021

“Phenomenal singer, compelling arrangements, complex guitar work and stunning musicianship from the band . Blue Commotion offers a striking contemporary slant to the blues.” - Lighthouse Poole, LIVE Review, Bournemouth Echo June 2019

** Each of these acts have received multi British Blues Awards and nominations! **
