Overview
Poole & Parkstone Productions return to Lighthouse with the festive family favourite, Elf the Musical, based on the classic 2003 film. As a young orphan, Buddy mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised in Santa’s workshop, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilityforcehim to face the truth.
Buddy travels to New York City to learn his true identity only to discover his father is on the Naughty List, and his step-brother doesn't even believe in Santa! With the help of new friends, Buddylearns to win over hisfamily and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.
This modern-day holiday classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner elf. After all, the best way to spread Christmas cheeris singing loud for all to hear.
This amateur production is presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International (Europe).Relaxed performance:suitable for people with additional needs and their families to attend together without worrying about how any behaviours may affect other audience members. Sound and lighting may be adapted, house lights will remain on at a low level, the interval will be extended and you may enter and leave the auditorium at any time as needed. Young children and babes in arms also welcome at this performance.
