Plays/Drama The Sherling Studio 1 hour 15 minutes

May 2020 is the 200th anniversary of the birth of the world’s most famous nurse, the only woman in history immediately recognised by just her Christian name, Florence. This performance is a celebration through song and spoken word of the only woman to receive The Order of Merit from Queen Victoria. Written by Louise Jordan, Florence is linked around the accounts and personal letters of Florence Nightingale

The project, launched at Florence's graveside at St Margaret's Church encompasses a musical theatrical touring production, community performances in hospitals, schools and colleges, including the formation of The Nightingale Choir comprising of nurses, past and present from Salisbury where her nursing career began.
