As part of the Come As You Are Festival, Lighthouse and Camden People’s Theatre will be partnering with local trans and LGBTQIA+ organisations to curate a panel discussion exploring experiences and issues that are pertinent to the local trans, non-binary and gender queer community in Dorset.

We will be looking at what health & wellbeing support exists (or doesn't) in the NHS & social care systems for the trans, gender queer and non-binary communities. The panel will consider where the idea that cis-gender is the 'norm' - and who gets to decide - has come from, and how this impacts on mental health and wellbeing and healthcare policy in the UK. We will look at how to make recommendations to, and get our voices heard by, those in charge of mental health and wellbeing services.

Watch this space for more information on the topic/theme and the contributing panellists.
