Acclaimed filmmaker Andrew Haigh (Weekend, 45 Years) helms a deeply moving story about love, loneliness, family and friendship. Charley Thompson (Charlie Plummer) is a lonely teenager who lands a summer job working with a prickly horse trainer (Steve Buscemi). Charley spends his days caring for a racehorse put out to grass, Lean on Pete. When he discovers that his new companion is destined for the slaughterhouse, hedecides to take the horse and run away.
