Brandon Allen tenor saxophone
Ross Stanley piano/keyboards and Hammond organ
Arnie Somogyi acoustic and electric bass
Matt Home drums

Australian-born saxophonist Brandon Allen makes his Lighthouse debut with an all-star jazz quartet playing their exciting, highly acclaimed tribute to legendary saxophonist, Gene Ammons. Ammons was a contemporary of such tenor-playing luminaries Dexter Gordon, Wardell Gray, and Sonny Stitt. The soul jazz movement of the mid-1960s, often using the combination of tenor saxophone and Hammond B3 electric organ, counts him as a founder.

The band will focus on music spanning Gene Ammons' entire career, from the late 40's right through to the mid 70's. Featuring amazing Hammond player, Ross Stanley, and acclaimed bassist Arnie Somogyi, expect sax and organ fuelled grooves.

Away from this project Brandon is currently touring throughout Europe, USA and Asia with the Kyle Eastwood Band, as well as leading the Late, Late Show at Ronnie Scotts with his quartet. He is hugely in demand, and has played with everyone from Eric Clapton, Paloma Faith and Jools Holland through to jazzers such as Claire Martin, Soweto Kinch and the BBC Big Band.
