Overview

Director: Bharat Nalluri. Starring: Dan Stevens,
Christopher Plummer, Jonathan Pryce. Ireland/Canada 2017. 104 mins.

The story of the writing of A Christmas Carol, a novella that Charles Dickens was originally obliged to self-publish in 1843. Dan Stevens (Beauty And The Beast)
plays the hard-pressed, impoverished author, trying to finish his new book in just six weeks. In the process the now legendary characters of Ebenezer Scrooge (Plummer) and Tiny Tim are vividly brought to life. Adding to the poignant fun are Jonathan Pryce as Dickens’s father, John Dickens, and Miriam Margolyes
as Mrs Fisk. Just in time for the festive season!
