Visual Arts Theatre 1 hour

Inspired by TS Eliot’s Four Quartets, the paintings in her new exhibition evolved through a process of visual thinking. Ineke explains, “The words of TS Eliot slowly entered my work whilst the Old Master looked over my shoulder. Time present met with time past.”

“In a time and a place, in the conscious and the unconscious, and in a studio 50 miles east of East Coker, a long way from her native Netherlands, Ineke Van Der Wal paints.” – Stephen Wrentmore.

Originally from the Netherlands, Ineke has lived and worked in the United Kingdom since the early 80’s. A well-established artist, she has widely exhibited in public and private spaces in both this country and internationally.

Launching alongside the exhibition is a Ineke's new publication featuring four short essays with images of past and present work. Available to purchase at our art shop.

Ineke will run a series of Events, for more information click the 'Events' tab to the right.
