Like everyone, Lighthouse has had a tough few months. It’s been heart-breaking for us to have to cancel so many shows, and we really miss being able to provide our community with the opportunity to enjoy live theatre.

Whilst the Government have said that we can start to have live shows later in the year, social distancing measures will mean that we would have to reduce our capacity to a level that will still make this financially unviable.

We’re desperate to bring live shows back to Poole, but we need your help.

We’re planning a mini-season of outdoor shows that will take place in the amphitheatre at the side of our building. We’ll have live music, stand-up comedy, family shows and Shakespeare, so there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy. Despite the financial difficulties caused by this pandemic, we’re not doing this to make money. In fact, we will struggle to break even with a project like this. We are doing it because live performance is at the core of why we exist, and we want to make Poole feel great again.

We’ve never done anything like this before, and this is your chance to be part of something amazing.

We’re taking positive steps to reconnect with our community, but whilst social distancing is in place, anything that we do remains at a financial loss to Lighthouse. This is why we need support to ensure that we can bring back live events, without compromising our ability to continue planning future work.

We’re looking to our local business community to help us bounce back. If your company can provide the sponsorship needed to make the season financially possible, we can provide you with a wide range of benefits in return – from brand association with our work and bespoke advertising offers, to unique hospitality for your staff and clients. And on top of all that, you’ll be able to tell the world that your company played a major part in bringing live shows back to Poole.

Headline sponsorship starts at £3,000 +VAT. For more information or an informal chat about our live outdoor mini-season, please contact Tom Shallaker our Fundraising manager by emailing
