Lighthouse, Poole’s centre for the arts, has launched a new Friends scheme to enable loyal audiences to play a greater role in its work as a charity.

Lighthouse Friends will raise funds to help the UK’s largest regional arts centre deliver its rich and exciting artistic programme as well as provide greater opportunities for all sections of the community to participate in the arts.

“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our fantastic audiences and supporters,” says Chief Executive Elspeth McBain.

“The lives of thousands of people in our community are enriched through the cultural experiences they are able to share at Lighthouse and with the help of Lighthouse Friends we will be able to maintain and build on our standing as a dynamic, world-class facility for the people of Poole, Dorset and the wider South West region.”

As well as the knowledge they are contributing to life-enhancing opportunities for people across the community, Lighthouse Friends offers members a range of benefits including priority booking, a waiver on booking fees, Friends’ events, a newsletter and discounts at Lighthouse bars and the Beacon eatery.
