Leading Lights are Lighthouse’s figurehead partnerships. These artists are already well established and are creating and producing inspirational work. By forging creative partnerships with these artists, we seek to support and champion excellence.

During October 2017, Lighthouse welcomed Gecko, an award-winning and internationally-acclaimed physical theatre company, to Poole for their tour of The Wedding. Partnering with this company and bringing their visual, visceral, and ambitious theatre to our venue was a real privilege.

We are proud to announce that Diverse City a dynamic social enterprise based in Dorset, working across the UK, are now an Associate Company of Lighthouse. Diverse City are dedicated to revealing and celebrating diversity and equality of opportunity in the performing arts and their continued commitment to integrated circus is an inspiration to us and our work. Their young company, EBYA, developed a new show entitled Becoming at Lighthouse. It's a story about growing up, being on a journey and travelling toward who you really are. EBYA meet every Thursday evening at Lighthouse, to develop their performance, theatre, dance and music practice. If you a young person in Bournemouth, Poole or Dorset interested in the performing arts, theatre, circus or music and are looking for professional, coaching and training opportunities, then please check out their website for more information about how to get involved.

Dante or Die is a site-specific theatre company who transform ordinary spaces into sets for dynamic, bold and ambitious performances. Passionate about developing new audiences, they seek to dismantle the social and physical barriers that prevent people from accessing theatre. Lighthouse was proud to be partnered with this exciting company and to be a co-producer of their new show, Take On Me, which played out in Rossmore Leisure Centre in November 2018. Check out the video below to find out more about this project...

Working with UK Arts International and The Marlowe Canterbury in association with Theatre Royal MargateFolkestone Quarterhouse and Looping the Loop, Lighthouse co-produced Hannah and Hanna in Dreamland. A story of friendship and hatred, migration and identity, we were thrilled to present this production to our audiences in October 2018.
