Writer/director Ed Viney has worked with Chichester Festival Theatre, the National Theatre and the RSC. He has directed a number of UK tours and most recently co-wrote and directed the “foot-stompingly entertaining” Calf2Cow tour of Sherlock & Watson – A Murder in the Garden. He is the recipient of the Creative Scotland Four Nations Award for Mamiaith, working with partners in Wales and New England, USA, to create new work for small-scale touring. Ed is the Festival Director of The Script’s The Thing which last year saw over 70 scripts being presented, linking with venues across Dorset and organisations including BBC Writersroom and National Theatre New Work.
Following its premiere, Pot licker will be seen across Dorset and the wider South West in a tour produced by Dorchester Arts. This play is part of the new scriptwriting initiative, Pipeline, at the Lighthouse, and an extract from this work was first seen in the Sherling Studio in January 2024
