Archie Ray is a Singer/Songwriter originally from Cornwall. He performs what he calls “Mixed-Pop” a variety of genres and tone that commit to classic Pop structure and performance. From big band rock-pop ballads, catchy rhythm based rap tunes or emotional soundscapes Archie Ray and The Flutterbies cover all ground in a live performance. Archie has songs that aim to get the audience involved, whether that be simple repeated melodies or call and response to raise the energy in a live setting. Through their honesty in music, Archie Ray and The Flutterbies dedicate themselves to creating some good memories for audiences to take home with them.
Ben started playing guitar at the age of 16 as a way to accompany himself singing. A self-confessed campfire guitarist, he has been described as a human juke box, picking up new covers as requested by the audience.
Recently Ben has been exploring original music, drawing inspiration from the incredible musicians and songwriters he met at Roots Open Mic, and artists such as Tom Petty, Jason Isbell, Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan. Heavily influenced by these Americana and Folk icons, Ben’s performance has been described as ‘stripped back and upbeat.’
We are sorry to announce that unfortunately James Haynes, who was scheduled to perform at Live and Unheard tomorrow evening, is regrettably unable to join us due to ill health.
James Haynes is a Singer/Songwriter inspired by a variety of eclectic music; forming a sound that crosses genres such as Pop, Indie and Blues. James has been described by some as a ‘Troubadour’, combining his storytelling and ability to evoke emotions through poetic lyrics and melodic melody. He carries messages of faith, hope and love through testimony and experience.
