This quintet joins two of the very best young musicians who’ve emerged on the jazz scene in the past few years with some of the most in demand musicians in British jazz.
Alex Clarke won the ‘rising star’ award in the 2019 British Jazz Awards and played in the 2020 BBC `Young Jazz Musician of the Year. Her respect for the tradition of the music can be heard in a melodic and fiercely swinging approach reminiscent of Cannonball Adderley.
Emily Masser is a twenty year old singer and saxophonist currently studying at Guildhall School of Music who’s had attention and encouragement from Claire Martin and Liane Carroll and spent time honing her craft in Clark Tracey’s Quintet.
