Hangover Hill and Lighthouse present

Live and Unheard – April 2024

Thu 25 Apr 2024

Hangover Hill and Lighthouse present three more highly rated acts as they have a rare opportunity to experience a larger stage in our monthly unsigned music night.

KINGSFOIL have landed, and boy did they cause a stir. In 2023, Bournemouth’s new Alternative Rock, funky-fusion band arrived in style. After supporting the likes of Gnome, Statue Kings, Nick Oliveri and Marco Mendoza, not to mention their opening slot at a record-breaking Teddy Rocks Festival, they spent the back end of the year putting together the final touches on what promises to be a monumental first single release, coming soon.
The hype is building around this quartet, and with some stellar reviews from their early shows already published, you’re gonna want to catch these excitable rockers before they go from grassroots venues to big tour supports very quickly.
The energy they bring to every stage, the flawless delivery of every song, and the catchy lyrical hooks act as a refreshing thirst-quencher for all ears in these crazy times for the live music circuit in the UK. *For fans of Incubus, Shinedown, Foo Fighters and Thin Lizzy.

THE RAID
The Raid are a four piece Indie-rock band hailing from the seaside town of Poole in Dorset.
The band consists of Pete (Lead vocals/guitar), Luke (backing vocals/guitar), Steve A (Bass), Steve B (Drums).
Growing up in the huge Indie/Brit rock scene of the nineties, The Raid were heavily influenced by a number of bands and capture the vibe and energy of this era of music but have put their own stamp and modern spin on it.
From hypnotic, heavy rock songs to melancholy ballads, The Raid create a story with their songs.
Formed in late July of 2022, The Raid have already released an 11 track album, called ‘Back to the Scene’ and are already writing new material.
The band are looking forward to the future and sharing their new material with original music lovers locally and further afield.

Ruffdog Elliott
Not your normal run of the mill singer songwriter, Ruffdog Elliott has a sting in his guitar strings that will knock a punch out of the right of the political swing. His lyrics tell the searing truth of the wrongs in society and tell a story that is as honest as it is true. Always right on the current button with an often humorous lilt, he takes his influence from singer song writers such as Billy Bragg, Frank Turner and Bob Dylan, but with an affiliation with the Punk movement that coloured his early years. Current artists that fire his belly with their powerful energy and rebellious message are, Dublin Avant Gard punk performer Meryl Streek, as well as Bobbie Vylan and Dead Sheeran. If you ask him where he’s performing, he says you’ll find him playing at any gig that will have him on the Dorset music scene. In truth he has played across the country in venues from pubs, festivals and football grounds to the world famous Troubadour in London and soon to smash the south west of Ireland.
