The Theatre at Lighthouse has played host to some of the UK’s most famed actors, including Sir Ian McKellen in Twelfth Night during our opening year.

Its sweeping auditoria provides great sightlines from all seats, and the staging facilities allow for full theatrical production including a full counterweight fly system. The Theatre has an orchestra pit which can house 28 players.

With a capacity of 669, its proscenium arch and stage are renowned for great drama, contemporary dance, ballet, and opera. The Theatre also plays host to our award-winning annual pantomime.

The Theatre is available for public hire for performances and is well suited to a range of non-artistic events including conferences, screenings, and awards ceremonies.
