Candoco Dance Company

26-27 Oct 2010

Candoco Dance Company presents three varied new works thatshow audiences everything that dance can be in one evening. From visually striking, physically challenging and intense to theatrically playful there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Three times winner of the New York Bessie Dance Award, Sarah Michelson combines a sense of grandeur with an eye for detail in a visually arresting, powerful work that is set to an original cinematic score by acclaimed composer, Pete Drungle.

Choreographer Emanuel Gat creates an intricate sextet that shows the dancers’ refined musicality and delights with its detailed and exquisite movement in this piece of ‘pure’ dance.

The seriously playful experimentalist, Wendy Houstoun, completes the programme with a humourous, understated and theatrical work, that plays havoc with Shakespeare’s The Tempest.
